SEASON 2012-2013

We have had an encouraging season, where we have improved in many areas without necessarily getting on the right side of some scorelines. Because we are smaller than most sides, we have to be technically better, and we are in most cases, and we show some wonderful skill both individually and as a team. We are often complimented by other sides about our play and our character, and I think this stands us in good stead for the future.

Our spirit has been amazing at times, and even when taking one or two batterings, we have generally emerged with our heads held high. The parents add to thsi, with some wonderful support, and they have really got behind not only the age group, but also the club in general, hosting a great comedy hypnotist night- which has become the stuff of legend!

These extra efforts from the parents, has meant we could do some extra stuff this year, with a visit to Sale Sharks early on in the year, as well as Boot Camp/ Quad Bike/ Air Rifling experience just before Christmas.

The biggies though, was our tour. Our first ever as an age group, and one hopefully the boys, and parents, will remember. After a creditable performance at the JP Morgan 7's, we visited Sale Sharks tarining ground to meet some players (just keeping the shirts warm!), before travelling to North Ribblesdale and Kirkby Lonsdale.

We have achieved a lot this year, both as a team and individually, but a mention must go to te 6 players who got through to the Cheshire Central Squad this year, including 2 players who are through to the Sale Sharks Development Squad.

In addition to training and playing matches on a Sunday morning both at our Bradwall Road home and throughout Cheshire, we also train every Wednesday evening at the club from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
